Dear Derek;
As Steve DeKorte pointed out there are cheaper places to live. In
New Hamsphire according to Craigslist there is a studio apartment
available for $90 a month!!! Whooo Hooo!!!
Call the moving company!!!

The more I think about it, the more the answer of moving to a
lower cost of
living area becomes clear as the correct solution. This notion of
not
having the security deposit, etc. is just a red herring. No one
has a
"right" to live in a city, no matter how many generations of their
family
may have lived there. I would expect you as a Libertarian to not
support
positive rights.
If they are not willing to move, then they are making a trade-off.

Finding a cheaper place to live was the first thing I did when I was unemployed. I cut my rent by about 70%(!) by living in a smaller shared place in a less affluent neighborhood. If my new business had not been successful, the next step would be moving out of SF altogether.
