Was your Libertarian Vote Counted?

Dear All,

I just got back from looking at the tallies posted at my polling
place, and the tally sheet says "0" (zero) Libertarian votes for
President. Well, I know there should have been at least one, mine. I
called the S.F. Department of Elections, and they told me all I can do
now is fill out a "Complaint Form", which I will do tomorrow. I was
wondering if any of you looked at the tally sheets at your polling places.

Regards,

Marcy

Marcy:

I was a precinct inspector for my home precinct 456200 in Alameda County.
Only one other Libertarian cast a ballot at the polls in my neighborhood
(besides myself) and she voted for Christine Smith.

In my precinct, Ron Paul got more votes than Mike Huckabee (5 votes vs. 4),
but McCain and Romney took the lion’s share of Republican votes.

Clinton received 93 votes to Obama’s 89. John Edwards tied Ron Paul with
only 5 votes. Voter turnout was kind of disappointing, with only 267
ballots cast out of a precinct with 933 registered voters (of course, there
were 34 Vote By Mail ballots dropped off during the day, so we couldn’t
count those, and about 50 Provisional ballots, which may not have been
counted at all, depending on how the Registrar decided to validate them).

Hi Terry,

Thank you for the information. Wow! only 28.6% of the precinct showed
up. Also, if I am reading the San Francisco turnout correctly, only
39% of Libertarians showed up. Maybe during the coming year tabling,
balloons, leafleting to get out the Libertarian vote for our
local/congressional candidates could bear fruit.

Regards,

Marcy
