Does anyone have any interest in serving on a city board or commission? There are many dozens of such mostly volunteer positions.
I just got a note back from Supervisor Jane Kim in reply to a message I'd sent about approving a housing project, and took the opportunity to ask her about a Libertarian appointment. She and Supervisor Scott Wiener (both Democrats, of course) are waging a fierce contest for State Assembly, and Libertarians not having a horse in that race, we are potentially swing votes (though frankly, it'll take some convincing to get me to vote for either of them), so it seemed like an opportune time to ask.
