... for a Pink Brick!
I just got a newsletter from Equality California. SF Pride is having the
last two days for voting this weekend, for the parade marshals, and also
for the Pink Brick award.
Saturday, April 2 at Castro & 18th (in front of the Bank of America)
10:00am to 4:00pm and Sunday, April 3 at The Eagle (12th and Harrison Sts.)
3:00pm to 6:00pm.
This is a good chance to remind the LGBT community that Democrats are not
necessarily their friends. The nominees for the Pink Brick award, for "an
individual/organization who has done the most harm to the community over
the last year", are Rev. Lou Sheldon, the Traditional Family Values
Coalition, and Sen. Feinstein. I would argue that Feinstein has done more
harm than the other two by the presumption that a Democrat will be an ally.
