US Postal Service to Stop Saturday Deliveries

It has just been announced that the US Postal Service will stop Saturday
deliveries in August.

What is the Libertarian Party Position on this?

If it is that the US Postal Service should close down altogether, I would
say that this is not realistic.

However, the underlying issue is that the postal service is losing money
because of the need to pay for the health care of FUTURE postal employees.

So, in other words, we are stopping the work today in order to pay for the
retirement of employees who have not even been hired yet.

I dare say that the Libertarian Party will have something to say about that.

My position is that the postal service nearly pays for itself and is a benign agency. It would be the last agency I would defund. If taxes were cut 99% and we still wanted more cuts, then we could revisit the Postal Service.
