Dear Marcy Starchild and Aubrey;

Thanks for the extra efforts over last couple days.

Unfortunately, it appears there will be no special election as Gov. Brown has
ended any attempts at negotiations with Republicans.

Sacramento Democrats are considering an end run by putting a special election on
the ballot with a simple majority. However because the special election is about
taxes it requires a 2/3's majority.

If the Democrats forge ahead it will end up in state court. Where the court in
likelihood would quash the special election because of the 2/3rds requirement.

Ah yes I just love the smell of special election burning first thing in the
morning.
