To my eternal shame I must admit to having once worked for(or at least, having been employed by), the Canadian Federal Government where I was an underworked and overpaid manager of a computer systems department.
In this capacity, one of my 'responsibilities' was to meet once per month with other system's managers to discuss matters of common interest.
There were six such managers across Canada and we used to meet in turn at the various locations where each manager was stationed.
This meant flying across Canada to places such as Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary and various other cities.
The trips were always scheduled as three day 'excursions', one day to get there, one day for the 'meeting' and one day to return to one's home city.
As there is little or no work of any consequence performed in Government generally, agenda topics for our meetings usually consisted of just two items as follows:
1. The location for next month's meeting.
