I missed the part about a whole different parade. I thought it it was just to co-opt wiith anti-war, pro peace, anti-torture, pro justice elements. Between SF and DC the torch could be virtual simulcast.
There might be enough aadditional manpower to activate in the Paulistas. A new contingent is certainly in order. Acree is on track and proactive with the monitor thing.
Star-power would certainly make the whole thing easier and more exciting...maybe the NBA player?
