Topics for LPSF press releases/outreach literature

Hi everyone,

With a lot happening in SF, I think it’s time for the LPSF to weigh in and
make ourselves heard. To that end, here are some recent events we could
issue press releases or statements on:

  1. Trump proposes re-opening Alcatraz as a maximum security prison, [oppose]
  2. Noe Valley residents gather signatures to leave SF and join Marin
    County, [support]
  3. movement to unseat SF supervisor Engardio and alter the
    progressive-moderate power balance [oppose?]

Of course, there are certainly other issues we could speak about but these
are popular at the moment. Folks can also write letters to the editor of
their local newspaper.

I’d be interested in hearing people’s thoughts on any of the 3 above and
whether anyone wants to volunteer to write on a topic.

In Liberty,
Richard Fast

Can you say more about why we’d oppose re-opening Alcatraz? It’s federal
land, so my initial reaction is that they can do with it what they please.

I would also hazard a guess that the movement to unseat/recall Engardio is
still about the Great Highway closure, which makes it a
not-clearly-libertarian issue in my eyes.

Well, the Constitution only allows the Feds to own ten miles square of land for the seat of government (Washington D.C.), plus such land as needed for military buildings, so it’s unconstitutional for them to own and operate Alcatraz as a prison.

Besides this, we just don’t want more prisons in the first place. Far too many people are incarcerated now, many of them for things that aren’t real crimes, and many others without having been convicted of anything (sitting behind bars in pretrial detention).

I think you’re right about Joel Engardio’s recall being mostly about the Great Highway closure, and thus not a clear-cut libertarian issue, although we did oppose the closure. I have mixed feelings about the recall – Engardio may be the most libertarian member of the Board, despite his regrettable pro-police stance.

Love & Liberty,

Anyone historically literate, & familiar with the high-profile presidential campaign of iconic actor Libertarian Russell Means** knows that according to criminally fraudulent #USgovt Treaty, Alcatraz was set to be returned to local Native Tribes with standing; but mendacious traditional #USgovt policy always reneges on all such codified policies to cover up its original crimes. Since elections precede the white-washing propaganda of the “Thanksgiving Holiday” ( even Germans & Zionists aren’t so brazen enough to cover-up their holocausts / genocides with such bs… ), it’s an excellent time to bring this original sin injustice of #USgovt violations of the Non-Aggression Principle to light.

The #USgovt Treaty of Fort Laramie, promised unused federal land must be returned to Native Peoples.

If you guys aren’t talking about unseating 85yo Centimillionaire Grifter Oligarch Supreme battleaxe Nancy Pelosi as she mounts a doomed-to-fail feeble Biden-esque re-election bid, you aren’t serious about upgrading the political profile of the LPSF or moving #LibertarianSolutions into the limelight or using the political-circus national news spotlight that high profile race will garner to leverage & advance core principles. Those other campaigns RickySpeed noted amount to an irrelevant hill of beans in comparison; furthermore, Richard’strump-derangement-syndrome — which ignores that 99% of Congressional Dems & Chuckles de Schumer support him — aside from divisive petty fringe issues promoted to polarize divide&conquer the Peasantry — on all the most egregious #USgovt actions ( #medicalindustrialcartels, #militaryindustrialcomplex, #industrialprisoncomplex, etc ) & hence ALL of them are guilty serial conspirators against US,

Just like the four-year-long Biden Coverup, the media is keeping Nancy Pelosi on the back burner to avoid critical exposure exploitation of her myriad conspicuous physical mental & political weaknesses before she follows Biden out to pasture.
