The Wrong Man for the Job

Here's an interesting opinion piece from the New York Times urging the president NOT to replace General Petraeus as chief of the Central Intelligence Agency with John Brennan, the architect of the United States' tragically flawed counter terrorism strategy.

Let's just hope Mr. Obama reads the NYT Op-Ed pages (or at least has one of his staff scanning the web for this kind of information).

Grave concerns can surely be raised about anyone else, like Jane Harman, likely to be considered for the job. It’s an interesting question who would be appropriate, if we exclude those who think the agency should be abolished.
