More than 872,000 cannabis arrests in the U.S. this year, according to the FBI! If arrest numbers reflect population, about 20% of those, or over 150,000, would be in California. Keeping some of those people from being incarcerated is a good reason to vote YES on Proposition 5 on the California ballot in November, which would switch more of the focus to treatment and away from incarceration for drug "offenses."
