The Wal-Mart Syndrome AND ATTACHED Wal-Mart PDF Memo

Dear Everyone;

Wal-Mart has made the news again by calling for an increase in the minimum wage from $5.15/hour. Why would Wal-Mart publicly call for the Government to increase the minimum wage?

Currently, Wal-Mart pays an average of $8.00 - $11/hr to its Associates. If a competitor small business is forced to increase it wages above the bare minimum chances are pretty good the small business employer will be forced to lay off a person or two or cut them back to part -time.

Wal-Mart in its brilliance is planning on using the government mandated minimum wages increase to force competing small businesses out of business. Why rely on market competition when you can get the government to force competitors out of business?

This is another reason why the minimum wage is a pox on business both large and small and why it should be repealed.

Attached is a PDF of an internal E-mail describing to Wal-Mart executives how their health and retirement plan and wage plan could be utilized for its benefit not necessarily the benfit of the Associates.

This is just another example of what machinations a corporation goes through to satisfy the cultural and political demands made to look good to its investors and not necessarily for its employees benefit.

Open free market competiton should be the norm not blatantly using the government to protect your business from competition. Get government out of private businesses once and for all by repealing all employment and labor and free-market related federal and state laws!!!!!
