Tax Day planning

Chris,

For the tax protest, I think we ought to kowtow to the state by
applying for an amplified sound permit -- much as I'd rather not beg
their permission, probably in such a high-traffic location we would not
get away using unpermitted megaphones without one for long. And we
should also try to bring unamplified sound in the form of drums. Making
our protests louder will get people's attention in a way that merely
being visible with signs and banners cannot. Also, I wonder if we could
get the fronts of 1040 forms printed on this dissoluble paper at a
reasonable price? Burning a few of the regular forms would tend to
draw attention too. 8)

There wasn't much response on the -discuss list; thanks, Kelly, for
suggesting it might've been lost in the noise.

So: Thursday 15 April.

Rob found, while researching the issue for MECA, this great
environmentally-friendly dissolve-o-paper. You can throw it into the
Bay
harmlessly. So one thing we could do is to have our own Boston Tea
Party -
near enough to MECA's to catch some stray publicity, but far enough to
keep
our own distinct message.

The other thing is to camp out at the Montgomery station again. We
always
get a lot of traffic, but not a lot of converts. Ideas on how to
change
that are welcome.

Michael E. will remind us that we need to ask them on the spot. That's
true. Is there anything else we can do?
