Sunshine at the SF Housing Authority

Forwarding a message from Michael Petrelis, a local leftie blogger (and another current candidate for mayor) who often serves a useful role in city politics as a sunshine and accountability activist. He has offered to come give a workshop to libertarians on how to request information from city agencies and officials, and I'm trying to get this lined up.

Note the response from the executive director of a local housing non-profit, in the correspondence below, to one of Petrelis's sunshine requests for emails between her group and the SF Housing Authority:

"I do not understand why you are requesting these. We email back and forth with the SFHA many times on a daily basis regarding client cases. You will be creating an enormous amount of work for people that we need to be doing their jobs..."

This individual, Sara Shortt, had apparently previously failed to write back to Michael, but his records request sure got her attention!

Love & Liberty,
