Stop Cop City at SF Pride

I talked to a representative of Stop Cop City at a booth at SF Pride. Although libertarians may disagree with some of their views, their main goal is of interest to libertarians.

This 42,102 sqft facility is the largest capital project in the history of San Pablo—more than 5x the cost of the San Pablo Library. They did this without real public input, yet we’ll be paying the price for 30 years.

Jeff,

Was there a LPSF Booth at @SFPride or contingent in the Parade Sunday!?! I missed it.

We had a good turnout & near constant ( every 5mins ) engagement & many substantive conversations at our BodyAutonomy/@SFWNBR Booth which was thankfully in the shade but not too chilly. The LPSF should step up & make the nominal investment next time & do some real face-to-face public outreach & PR. The Castro Street Fair & Haight Ashbury Fair should be prime events given the diversity of those areas.

I think there wasn’t an LPSF booth this year. I wore a little liberty propaganda though :slightly_smiling_face:

I agree that Pride is a great event for recruiting members and promoting liberty. When there was an LPSF booth, it was popular and fun!

The officers are volunteers, and while they are all great activists, we can’t expect them to do all the liberty activism we want to see.

I’ve previously proposed a simple system where people can propose activities and volunteer for them. I hope we can try it out sometime soon!
