State Govt Set To Spray Us

It's not like it's the first time - http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2004/10/31/SIDER.TMP

Maybe the military will teach em how to do it proper

David,

Thanks for digging up the piece on the military's deadly spraying of the Bay Area with the chemical Serratia in 1950 -- very interesting. I don't think many people are aware of that history; I wasn't. It will be a good item to bring up at the following event...

An op-ed piece published in the Guardian (4/9/08, p. 7) reports that an anti-spraying protest will be happening in front of City Hall, April 28 at 10 a.m. It's described as "a peaceful 'play-in' with children present," aiming to "show our strength against this immoral and illegal plan. Play, not spray."

Two websites are listed for additional info:

http://www.LBAMspray.com
http://www.StopTheSpray.com (this appears to be a Canadian website on a similar issue, not a local one)

I'm going to contact the folks at LBAMspray.com and ask about speaking at the April 28 protest on behalf of the LP, if they are having speakers.

Please sign the online petition against the spraying, at http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/Aerialsprayingmuststop?e , and let others know to do the same.

Does anyone know why this supposedly agricultural program is targeting
urban rather than agricultural areas?
