Starchild, do you think you could squeeze something in the postcard about writing in Doug's name as District 14 US Representative as a write-in candidate against Speier? I will do the mailing this week, and while we will have something about Doug on our website and in our newsletter, we may as well cover all bases if you can squeeze it in the postcard.
Doug, since it's as a write-in, and it seems like the elections officials will do everything possible to be extremely picky, should your name be spelled "Doug Radtke" or Douglas Radtke?" We will give the recommendation to spell it exactly as it should be so they can't toss out our votes. Thanks for running--it is possible for you to make the Top Two if we do it right.

I would like to take pause on the write in right now.
You only really have so much political capital in a lifetime to be taken
seriously. It is my intent to be serious about every office I run for.
So for right now I'd like to think about it some more before sending any
email or postcard blasts about the candidacy.
Well, thank you for doing the City College presentation, audience or no. Hopefully she'll do another one that's better promoted or something – I'll suggest the mixing-it-up approach to her, also idea of having video clips, which can be good way to get people to show up (view & discuss).
If you do decide to run for the write-in seat, cool, and I'm definitely happy to work it onto our mailing. I would suggest "Doug" over Douglas, because the more letters, the more opportunity for misspelling! "Radtke" is a bit tough in that respect. One mnemonic to help people remember the spelling could be to say (on your literature) "RADTKE for RADical Transparency, because Knowledge Empowers".
