should SFLP oppose Bay View Redevelopment?

Richard Winger requested I forward this to the list for him.

Thanks, Michael (and Richard). I think Terry Baum is absolutely right. This is an important vote, and it's something the political establishment would never have the nerve to try imposing on Noe Valley, or the Richmond, or North Beach.

I just called the offices of Bevan Dufty, Sean Elsbernd, and Gerardo Sandoval, and may try to hit a few more. Bevan's aide said they are keeping a tally on the issue, so I especially encourage people to call him -- it's (415) 554-6968. On the message I left for Sandoval, I also thanked him for standing up for immigrant rights, and encouraged his office to let us know about any immigrants' rights rallies or events that they may be aware of, and to feel free to let people know that the LPSF is a group that supports his position on this so long as he is for freedom of movement.

Yours in liberty,
