No, I hadn't heard that. Although we just witnessed a similar backtracking by the Vatican in the wake of comments by the Pope in a recently published book suggesting that using condoms might not be so bad for male sex workers seeking to prevent HIV transmission, I think Benedict XVI's original comment was a lot more nuanced and open to interpretation than Robertson's remarks are. If he's trying to back away from what he can clearly be seen stating on the video link below, I can't wait to see the pitiful spin attempts. Do you have a link or a source for this info?
