Dale Carpenter is a Republican who writes a regular column in the Bay Area Reporter -- titled, embarrassingly to our own similarly-named GLBTQ caucus, "Out Right". Pleasantly his latest column published on Valentine's Day is no cause for embarrassment however, as he's written a strong piece defending the libertarian position on gun rights that plugs the Pink Pistols and Gays and Lesbians for Individual Liberty ("a libertarian gay group that consistently defends individual rights").
