For those who are interested in the actual wording of this Ordinance, I have attached it. Or you can go to the sfgov website and search Safe San Francisco Civil Rights Ordinance, as I did.
This ordinance is surprisingly well written, in that it conveys the feeling of increasing encroachment -- the feeling of the frog in the slowly-boiling pot of water.
One example of encroachment that stuck to my mind because just the other day an attorney friend and I were discussing this very subject: Did you know that until recently you could demand a warrant if the FBI wanted to search your trash, but now they can do it without one? The list of encroachment is endless, this is only a mild example.
