Ron Paul Rally & Lunch (7/14/07)

Derek,

Are you expecting anyone at the rally who will not be an anti-war type?

Best, Michael

I guess that depends one what you mean by "anti-war". My definition
is someone who believes that the US gov should never under any
circumstances initiate a tax to support military action or is opposed
to an intervention against state-sponsored terrorism or a gathering
threat rogue state seeking to obtain WMD.

Under those definitions, I cetainly expect there will be many people,
perhaps a majority, at the Ron Paul event who are not "anti-war".

Derek,

Are you expecting anyone at the rally who will not be an anti-war

type?

Best, Michael

I am thinking of going. Probably 60% chance. All depends on if

that

morning I feel like I can stomache Raimondo and other "anti-war"
types.

supporters! Dr. Paul will share his message of freedom, peace and
prosperity at Charleston Park, right next door to Google HQ and

near

Shoreline Park. The rally will begin at 10 AM, and run till the

early

afternoon. Be sure to bring a lawn chair, a shady hat, and plenty

of

water so you can enjoy the Congressman and the lovely California

sun.

Michael Edelstein asked Derek: "Are you expecting anyone at the rally who

I'm not anti-war by Derek's definition and I'm helping promote the rally.
Starchild is not anti-war by some definitions and he's helping too. (And
FWIW, at the Meetup last week for promoting the rally, there was vocal
disdain for Paul's efforts to pander to 9/11 "Truthers".) In my experience,
anti-interventionists are more likely to be LitmusTestItarians on this issue
than liberventionists are. I hypothesize a reason for this asymmetry in an
article that Tom Sipos says he will run in an upcoming edition of CF:

If anybody from SF needs a lift to the rally from the train station in
Mountain View or other local way station, let me know.
