Ron Paul + Libertarian Party = Win.

The GOP will lose the election this year anyway, unless Ron Paul is
the nominee--a possibility that looks increasingly remote, especially with
the ongoing 'appearance of impropriety' with vote counts and potential
fraud.
If Ron Paul leaves the GOP and runs Third Party, all the GOP will lose
is the reluctant support of libertarians who were only in this all along for
their love of Ron Paul, anyway.
Ron Paul bolting the party is a win-win. If he runs and loses to
Obama, he does a titanic favor for the cause of libertarianism by recreating
the Libertarian Party and making it a force to be reckoned with in future
elections.
And he really could win. He pulls equally from liberals and
conservatives, and I believe he could top Ross Perot's 19% of the vote in
1992.
