Mike,
I don't think the petition is going to accomplish much, either. On
the other hand, it wouldn't do any good to impeach Bush alone and put
Cheney in the White House.
Impeaching Bush (or any president) would be wonderful! It would slow
down their mischief for awhile and show the populace they have more
power to influence the president then they may have realized.
And then we could impeach Cheney.
Best, Michael

Subject: RIPOSTE Re: [lpsf-discuss] Articles of Impeachment ForumDear Michae and Everyone Else;
After reading the proposed Articles of Impeachment the attempt
appears to be a big joke. The Articles of Impeachment are way to
broad. It tries to impeach Bush - Cheney - Rumsfield - Ashcroft all at
the same time.
Each may be individually guilty of various high crimes and
misdemeanors. Trying to prove this in a free for all session isn't
going to happen. The House Judiciary Committee is not going to come
close to having any hearings of any kind now or in the near future on
any impeachment proceedings. And try to imagine getting the House to
report out Articles of Impeachment on all 4 all at the same time? Let
me see that's 21 Republicans versus 17 Democrats. It isn't going to
happen. And it's an election year to boot.
See Page 17 and 18 of the PDF file impeachment kit for the Articles
Of Impeachment.

For any success. The group backing this needs to focus - focus -
focus. Pick one individual as the most likely suspect. Concentrate on
that one for an impeachment process screw everyone else. I recommend
starting with Bush - because as Truman once said " The Buck Stops
Here". Although Bush doesn't have the faintest idea of what the heck
that means. Start with Bush concentrate on Bush focus on Bush.
Afterall, he is only a sprig or is it a twig or is it a shrub.
I can hardly wait to hear the results of the Bush/Cheney joint 9/11
Commission hearing. WIll it be like the old Edgar Bergen and Charlie
McCarthy ventriloquist act? With Cheny as the mouthpiece and Bush as
the dummy?

its meaning for the United States Constitution.
