Yes. I will run it back the lines. But this stuff is so commonplace it barely makes the radar. People are grateful they get to go home and continue about their business.

I like the idea of putting the Mississippi State Patrol in the hot-seat. It might bring-out corroboration, especially if it promised some compensation for the victims. I doubt if anyone could get an entire busload of people to lie as easily as the patrol would lie to save its ass.

Either way, the outcome would have a likelihood of revealing the truth. I doubt there was psychotic trooper on the loose, behind the protection of the "blue line". And if this did occur, I'm sure there will be an excuse.
But as you say, we need to put a stop to excusing the inexcusable abuse of power.
