Resignation as vice chair

Hi,
I’ve resigned as a central committee member in the LPC so I can no longer serve as Vice Chair. I believe the LPC’s executive committee has made unconscionable actions in regard to the presidential nomination. I will remain active in New York.

Thank you Rebecca….care to share the news?

The LPC is trying to sabotage the LP’s 50 state ballot access by refusing to nominate the presidential nominee in CA unless the vote is taken in an in-person convention. They relented slightly by passing a resolution saying they would only nominate if the electronic vote for president was later ratified at an in-person convention. The executive committee claimed that LPC’s ballot access would be at risk if the nominee was chosen electronically, which goes against the advice of the LP’s lawyer and Richard Winger. The courts don’t care about the LP’s internal rules. They have lost my support because they are willing to waste ballot access in the largest state over something so petty.

Thank you

Mike
