Interesting how controversial a petition to impeach Bush turns out to be among Libertarians. I have some sympathy with what everybody is saying, but there are some interesting implications here: Impeachment may become (if it isn't already) an irrelevant process. If all those in the line of succession are jerks, too (as they usually are), it would be too exhausting and time-consuming to pick them all off one by one, so we would never bother starting the process.
