Re : Re : [CALibs] Cuba is Missing - Or Is It?

The Cuban MDs are private? There's private medical care in Cuba?

I write nothing of the kind. You took two phrases out of context. It says:
... Red Cross relief could not fly into Haiti after the

US military seized the airport.

Cuba a victim? How? The CIA installed Castro? That's news to me.

Actually, that could be true! The US gov't supported the revolution before
they knew the Communist wing would take it over. The US embargoed
the Batista regime, broke off diplomatic relations, and US media, like
Life magazine, ran glamorous stories about "freedom fighters". Castro
visited the US. JFK later admitted he supported the revolution at that time.

Cuba is a victim of itself, of the anti-libertarian communist dictatorship they have chosen.

You can't have it both ways; Cubans either chose their leaders or live under dictatorship.

So what?

So I have a natural right to go anywhere in the world! I shouldn't need permission from
the US gov't. Why don't I have the same rights as a citizen of France or Peru?

If the U.S. is so bad, they should embargo us.

Actually, they do. That is how governments works. The US gov't and the Cuban gov't,
like many others, work together to exploit their citizens. They tell you to hate Cuba;
they tell Cubans to hate the US. They make you pay for armies, take your freedom,
monopolize trade, and keep you living in fear because you hate whom they tell you to.
