RE: [lpsf-discuss] SF Gun Ban

"Perjorative"? "Perogative"? I guess "we" haven't been reading the
dictionary.

I wasn't defending my liberal friends; they are the ones whose minds we
hope to change.

Dear Michael;

Unfortunately they may not be responsive unless their homes have been broken into or someone tried to rob them. The situation is like the old saying - there aren't any atheists in foxholes. Until you have had an ephiphany you ain't gonna switch.

P.S. My anti-Daly gun law LTE to the Chronicle may make the Friday Chronicle. I got a phone call saying it was being considered whcih usually means it gets printed. Whooo Hooo!!!

PP.S.Now if they would only include the Libertarian moniker I append to my name in each LTE.

The supervisors bill sites gun violence stats, but is missing some key information:

- How many of those were actual crimes and not self defense?

- How many were registered "legal" guns? (If the owner was already committing a gun possession crime, how would the bill change anything?)

I know my suggestion at the last meeting of using blogs as a free and powerful way to communicate the libertarian message didn't go over well, but for those interested, here's an example post on the SF gun ban:

Also, I checked my web logs a few days ago and found that my blog is being read by about 700 unique people daily. I suspect that is more readers than an add in a local paper would get.
