We'll just have to agree to disagree about the viability of what you are
suggesting as a political strategy or goal. I'll leave the project of
turning the Federal government into an all powerful force of goodness
that will make the Castro embrace Bible Belt values and the Bible Belt
embrace LGBT values to activists with bigger political expectations than
I am capable of. Just call me an old States' Rights fuddy-duddy.
As a personal goal for society, I embrace your ideas and do my best to
live them. Expectations of the political realm are much more modest at
this stage of life. So much so that States' Rights seem a delicious
dream.
