The mayor is a non-partisan position...but it would certainly be one of
the highest elected positions in the IS. Ron Paul of Texas is registered
Republican but ran as Libertarian candidate for President and runs
pretty true to LP values. I understand there's a Libertarian in the NH
state legislature...but being the mayor of a big town like SF would be
certainly notable.
