I think the important thing is that we educate people to the dangers of the left and the right - - - especially, the big government left. I would rather have some one in office who believes in my values than to be in office myself. I vote on issues, not party. I would vote for the "Yellow Dog Party" if the person running believed in the U. S. Constitution, private property, individual rights, democracy, and leaving the little guy alone to live his life as he chooses as long as he doesn't hurt others.

(I am also registered as a Democrat, usually vote Republican or Libertarian to get the best people in office. You might be interested in why I am registered as a Democrat. This happened a long time ago because I wanted to keep my JOB. You may know by now that a Libertarian or a Republican could not get elected dog catcher in San Mateo county.
