without having occasioned such reactions.
I agree with Starchild on the need to recognize that the Deity has a
sense of humor. For any of us, being able to laugh at something depends
on our having the requisite distance from it. We can laugh at jokes
about blondes, gays, Jews, or Muslims only we haven't been too close to
the suffering of those groups. At a celestial remove, everything is
potentially funny. Behind all the laughter, of course, you might expect
a lot of tears; and the sadness of that existence is just that it isn't
real.
