Thanks Sarosh...I hear what you are saying. However as Bush's approval
ratings plummet along with the public opinion of the war, I say the war
issue is a good bargaining chip for Ed. It is also hardly a "fringe"
position to take. And it costs him nothing other than the support of
partisan Republicans from which Ed has already formally distanced
himself (he's an "independent"). If Ed wants to use his influence to
support an economic freedom agenda, this is a feel good maneuver that
can be used potentially to advance some issues more concrete in their
application than this one. It wouldn't hurt to support a motion that
only symbolically moves to withdraw US troops from the quagmire
especially if it can contribute to a favorable outcome for something
important to economic freedom.
