It is sad that my first reaction to the Bhutto bombing is anger with the assumption that Bill Krystal, Dick Cheney and the CIA were the people behind this. It does not matter wether they were or not, If a loyal American is thinking that at an emotional level, imagine how the Muslim world must feal.
We all pay a terrible price.
Phil Berg,
I agree with you. I believe it is reasonable, very reasonable, to suspect USA involvement in the Bhutto assassination. History shows many examples of overt and covert USA-CIA foreign entanglements throughout the world. Of course, Republican war-mongers, who believe American foreign policy is created by G-d, will disagree. Of course, Democrats are just as bad. When Democrats had the majority, Democrat "peace activists" could not find wrong with American foreign interventionism.
All the best,

One of the first rules of investigating crimes is to look for motive. From what I hear, Bhutto was considered pro-Western, and a democratic alternative to general Musharref. It seems to me that Islamist extremists in Pakistan would have a much stronger motive to assassinate such a person than the CIA.

Dear All;
There is a latin saying - cui bono - who benefits - which was always
used when some high ranking Roman personage got bumped off. So in
this case walk the cat back and determine - who benefits?
