However, in the spirit of finding areas of agreement rather than
disagreement, he does seem *mostly* libertarian. He believes (rightly or
wrongly) that monopoly power is a legitimate target for government
coercion, and also (rightly or wrongly) that Microsoft is a monopoly.
When faced with someone like this, we should try to welcome them on the
points on which they agree, and not immediately try to begin educating them
on the areas where they're wrong. Not, by any means, that I think Rob or
most of the rest of us have a problem doing this in person, but I know that
it's my natural tendency, and we all need to try to curb it.
