Quick ways to learn about libertarianism and capitalism

You could take weeks and weeks to read Murray Rothbard and Ayn Rand. However, if your time is short, you could do the following,

Read Leslie Mangus' (LPSF Treasurer and super activist) two postings on the LPSF website www.lpsf.org . Click "Issues" on the Main Menu on the left, then click on the title of Les' articles. One article is on Supervisor Scott Wiener's proposal for "Yet Another Parcel Tax!" The other uses "Proposition A" on the November 6 ballot to illustrate why tax increases cannot possibly solve the problems they aim to solve.

Secondly, attend an upcoming program at the Commonwealth Club of California entitled "Is Capitalism Moral? A Debate." This event is on October 22, 2012, 6:00 pm (5:30 networking reception, 6:00 program). 595 Market Street, San Francisco. $20 standard, $7 students with ID, free to Commonwealth Club members. Dr. Yaron Brook and Dr. David Callahan will discuss the scope of government. Are more regulations necessary to foster equitable prosperity? Has government grown too big and intrusive? For more information visit the event description at the Commonwealth website,
