Reception immediately following the Event.

STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC ARE ALL WELCOME TO ATTEND.

Today's financial turmoil is accompanied by a deluge of investment
information. CNBC's television program "Mad Money" with Jim Cramer, Robert
T Kiyosaki bestselling book RICH DAD! POOR DAD!, and Suze Orman's website
"The Motley Fool" are just a few of the countless sources available 24
hours a day. Despite the plethora of investment education and products,
individual investors have a dismal track record. As the burden for making
financial plans for retirement shifts from large organizations to
individuals, making good investment decisions is critical to financial
survival. David Amann shows how to navigate the storm of financial data
toward an investment philosophy using basic economic principles.

For our final Provocative Lecture of 2007-2008, the Economics Department
is pleased to feature one of its outstanding recent graduates. David M.
Amann is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist, a partner at Edward
Jones, one of the nation's largest investment firms, and manager of one of
the firm's San Francisco Bay Area offices. David graduated from San Jose
State University in the fall of 2007 with a B.S. in Economics. He was
twice named a Presidential Scholar and is also the recipient of the James
F. Willis Award for Outstanding Economics Student. David has further
distinguished himself by regularly offering some of the most challenging
and perceptive questions at previous Provocative Lectures. He looks
forward to being on the receiving end of your questions.

The last Provocative Lecture of each academic year is dedicated to our
graduating students. Graduating students please invite your family and
friends to the lecture (they should see what you've been going through)
and to meet the faculty at the reception.
