Demonstration against police militarization tomorrow in Oakland, 4-6pm, right downtown easy BART access from the city. If you can come earlier, there's an event starting at noon a little further into Oakland, south of Lake Merritt at a park, where there will be free food and entertainment before people march downtown to the protest outside the Marriott Hotel on Broadway where the Urban Shield conference is being held.
Urban Shield is an annual conference and training exercise for SWAT teams and military gear for law enforcement, reportedly organized by sheriffs in all nine Bay Area counties!
