Property Rights, Liberty, and Immigration by Glenn Jacobs
When dealing with laws restricting the movement of human beings, we should
keep in mind Thomas Paine's prophetic observation: "he that would make his
own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he
violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself."
Demanding that the government "do something" about illegal immigration will
result in bigger, more intrusive government and less freedom for all of us.
