Prop. K position language

Hi all,

Aubrey and I are here working on the postcard to send to registered Libertarians about our endorsements, and were also talking about the language on Prop. K on the website.

  I'm proposing the following sentence...

As long as the city government artificially restricts the housing supply, thereby keeping prices high, there will never be enough taxpayer money to fund subsidies sufficient to bridge the gap between "affordable" and "unaffordable" housing.

To replace this language that we have currently...

it grows as people move in from areas not offering the City’s generous subsidies. So there will never be enough housing to bring prices down or enough taxpayer money to fund subsidies.

My concern being that the current language implicitly undermines our views on supply and demand and could be used to object to the market creating new, affordable housing. Aubrey is okay with this replacement. Any objections?

Love & Liberty,
                                ((( starchild )))

No objection....very small modifications

As long as city government artificially restricts the housing supply, keeping prices high, there will never be enough taxpayer money to fund the gap between "affordable" and "unaffordable" housing.
