Okay, here's the abbreviated version of my original argument against Proposition F ("free" legal representation for tenants facing eviction). I've cut it down from around 300, to 160 words, so running it would cost $520 (or slightly less after the Election Department count).
As has been pointed out, we do have money in the bank and I'm not averse to spending $1100 on these two arguments (this and Prop. H), but the latter as I've said is more important in my view, so if it's one or the other, I'm for dropping this one. Or the argument against Prop. E (the flavored tobacco ban), which I'm also going to try to write something very brief against. (Unfortunately I never heard back from the Let's Be Real SF campaign on my query as to whether they are up for funding paid ballot arguments, so although something might still come through, we can't count on financing from that source.)
