Place to Meet

I guess the point I'm making is that everything I've read depicts
anarchy as decidedly different from libertarianism, as if the two are
mutually exclusive.

For instance, the dictionary definition of libertarian is:
"One who advocates maximizing individual rights and minimizing the
role of the state."

It says minimizing, not eliminating.

Also, the Nolan charts I've seen, such as the one you get when you
complete the OK Cupid politics quiz, show libertarianism as being
everything in the upper right, up to a boundary, past which it is
anarchist. If you go to [http://myspace.com/brokenladder](http://myspace.com/brokenladder) and then
hover your mouse arrow above the second picture of me (the bigger one
that is further down) you'll see my politics test score, and it has
the graph I'm talking about.

Also, like I said, the Libertarian site does not say anything about
anarchy, so my overall question is how anarchism fits in with
Libertarianism, to the extent that you'd come to a "Libertarian"
meeting and feel that your views were concordant with theirs.

I think you anarchists should have a meeting where you don't take
turns talking, and there is no central leadership, such as treasurer
or anything like that...and in fact you don't even have a set time or
place for any of it. Okay, this is a joke. ;)

I will read that site and see whether that explains more.

Also, you said liberty was freedom from government. According to
dictionary.com, the only definition that mentions "government" is the
second one, which is "Freedom from _unjust or undue_ governmental
control." not _all_ government control. Just curious about that as
well. Of course I'm new to all this wacky stuff, so I'm still trying
to take it all in and understand what my positions are. I can change
my mind at the drop of a hat, if I hear a good argument for something.

I think at this point I stand at the point of agreeing in no taxes
whatsoever, but still having law. After all, why should law makers
need to be paid, when they are perfectly able to raise millions of
dollars to campaign in the first place?

You'll hear more from me once I've read that site.

Peace be upon you,
Clay
