SFPD mimics 'Brokeback Mountain'
(term 'cowboy cop' takes on new meaning)
Like lonely cowboys up on Brokeback Mountain, sometimes the
pressure of riding hour after hour through darkened streets with burning
hunks of steroid-inflated manhood sitting next to them can become
addictive (no pun) to the hundreds of repressed Irish cops on the SFPD.
They can't help it. They bond and like the gay Salesian warriors whom
the Romans defeated by first identifying, then capturing the lovers of
troops in the center of the Salesian phalynx ... when faced with the
spectacle of their lovers being tortured by the Romans, the Salesians
broke ranks and the Romans poured in through the gap.
"Just what the hell are you talking about?"
Have you ever seen a San Francisco cop who wasn't standing
within touching distance of his partner? That's the real reason they
won't give up the privacy of their snug patrol cars to walk beats alone.
Why, just 2 days ago, they put a cop on a foot patrol across the street
back up against the wall of the donut shop and refused to talk to the
thousands of passing citizenry (I believe it was the same guy who
literally drove his cruiser through the middle of the Farmers Market
when ordered to patrol it) ... so, here's this guy with his back to the
wall trying to avoid the public and his compadres drive by to cheer him
up. But, while they're calling out encouragement to him, their
attention is distracted and they run over a pedestrian! They're
still laughing about that one down at the locker room.
It's a ploy, dip shit
There aren't hundreds of gay male cops on the SFPD. In fact,
out of 2,100 officers, there are only 25 'out' gay males. The cops
hate gay men or hadn't you noticed? They sit in their patrol cars
because they are fat, lazy cowards hiding behind their union contract.
You want to see the solo beat patrols we had when the force was half the
size it is now? Get another police force. Every cop who voted for
Gary Delugnuts as their union head is a racist homophobe. I'm trying
to shame them into walking beats. Everything starts with knowing the
public and they don't. They only know criminals and each other and
there ain't that much difference.
And, yeah, the cops did run over a pedestrian (I missed that
part) and even the dailies admit they were distracted talking to a
comrade on solo foot patrol. Department sources are now saying that
defensive driving doesn't apply to cops talking to other cops on
Brokeback Mountain and that it is the responsibility of pedestrians to
stay out from under the wheels of their cruisers. Their solution?
Cut back on solo foot patrols. Too distracting for the cops who
drive by and see their fellow cowboys in agony.
I wish I could shame these assholes into being half the cops
their fathers and grandfathers were but I can't. This is a new
generation and 80% of them aren't even San Franciscans. That's by
design. They are no better than mercenaries chosen for their
disconnect to the local population.

Tony Hall roared up on a beige Suzuki and parked it under the
leafy tree just outside the large windows of the little cafe' on the
corner. He was wearing a classy leather jacket (see pics from Michael
Strickland on his site at: sfciviccenter.blogspot.com). Marc Salomon
was modestly describing his experience in being interviewed by Arthur
Bruzzone on Art's SFunscripted on cable 11 (Wed-Sat. eves @ various
times). A 'source' (not in photos - tks Michael) was trying to sell
me a story charging that Board Prez, Aaron Peskin had been the recipient
of a "sweetheart real estate deal" that could bring his integrity into
question. Francis Somsel preached the merits of Michael Ege's 'Wall'
chat room (I reach it through Clemens' sfusualsuspects.com) and how
their hits are over a hundred a day. I had a half beer & 2 full ones
sitting in front of me as gifts. Voices rose and settled in a variety
of conversations pulsing along the half dozen or so tables pushed
end-to-end in the center of the small taqueria. There were enough
techies to start or end a revolution and enough foxy ladies to slap my
face red. When conversations flagged, I wandered by and said
incendiary things. It was a good gathering. Same time, same place
today.
Jackson West joins Kimo Crossman
The most dangerous thing happening in San Francisco at the
moment is the Newsom administration's 'TechConnect' plan which is
designed, not only to deprive the City of hundreds of millions in
revenue possible from a SFMunicipal Wi-Fi, but also to sell the privacy
of the citizenry to, not only advertisers, but also to the Department of
Homeland Security.
This morning Jackson West relayed a piece through Crossman
outlining Newsom's tentative plans to approach the Bush security system
for more cash, in exchange for free access to the email of San
Franciscans. I'm told that Aaron Peskin thinks it's a great idea.
Don't worry your pretty head about it though. There's nothing you can
do. When I contacted Peskin aide, David Owen for a comment, he wrote
back that I was a "PG&E corporate whore". ... And, here I didn't
even know PG&E was bidding against Google for the Newsom/Peskin
machine's blessings. It was, nevertheless, an odd statement for a
hack like Owen to make. Considering, for instance, that he's barely a
month into his new weekly TV show, paid for by Comcast out of funds
intended for you. Oh yeah. Even the Chron's Rachel Gordon
described Owen's new show as simply insider "spin". The hypocrisy of
a hog with his nose deep in the corporate trough calling me a "whore" is
simply shocking to me. What's next, will he call me an anti-semite?
Anything so's people won't notice you and your boss's sellout, huh
David? Incidentally, did you notice that Presidio Management who
bought the 224/226 Filbert Property and channelled it to Peskin made
over 200k in contributions to Bush and other Republicans during the same
period they were working out the deal with Peskin?

the 'Hellman Businessman's Group' hasn't reached out to them yet.
Anyway, Jens & I have free passes to Gonzo's Green blast at Slim's
tonight and I'll see any of you who make that. My last few columns
have cost me romance, postings & even a couple of friends. Not bad
retribution from a cabal that doesn't even exist. Nevertheless, I'm
on a roll and I'm not going to back off. It's positively invigorating.
