Outreach poster idea

I'm glad so many of you like the idea, and thanks to everyone who is stepping forward with personal contributions to make it happen! It occurs to me that the perfect artist to do this would be Scott Bieser, if he is willing. He is a libertarian and has done truly fabulous illustrations for "A Drug War Carol" (see http://www.ADrugWarCarol.com) and other projects. I'll get in touch with him and see if he might be willing to donate his services, or if not, how much he would ask to do the poster. One thing we could offer him in lieu of cash is free advertising space in the Golden Gate Libertarian -- any opinions on how much space we should offer? We could also offer to put a prominent link on the LPSF site for him. Any other payment-in-trade ideas?

Yours in liberty,
        <<< Starchild >>>

So far, we seem to have $240 in pledges! The poster looks very doable
now.

Free ad space in the Newsletter seems like a very good trade. How
much space, and on how many Newsletters would depend on how much he
would charge for his work. I would suggest asking him his prices
first, then comparing them to the ad prices we discussed a couple of
meetings ago.

I would also point out that we don't need to own the work - he is free
to license it to other LP groups. Maybe leave a little white space at
the bottom so they can be used for promoting meetings and events.
