outrageous misconduct and waste of taxpayer resources by the Fremont police
department.
Don't the Police have anything better to do than prosecute a victimless
crime? Does the City of Fremont have unlimited resources?
Clearly, this outrageous incident indicates that the Police Department and
DA's office are overfunded, and should be defunded to give needed tax-relief to
citizens, small business and to fund for example, children's and elder
programs.
On the occasion of Fremont's 50th anniversary, the City and citizens should
be celebrating freedom rather than perpetrating injustice and wasting public
resources.
Clearly, the reverberations will be felt during this coming year, as
questions are raised about the appropriateness of spending many tens of thousands of
Police and DA dollars to prevent a lonely Fremont matron from getting the
attention and care that she sought. Where is public oversight of a Police
Department run amok?
Does Fremont want to be known as the Bay area leader in cheerlessness, an
uncaring and determinedly unaffectionate place?
