The fact that the Beatles paid full UK taxes on their worldwide income
probably explains why they wrote the beautiful anti-tax anthem, Tax Man." If more
artists, like Bono, were forced to pay all the taxes that non-artists pay,
then, maybe, so many artists would stop being mouthpieces for the State.
