The campaign against an expensive government power grab (the mislabeled "Clean Energy Act") is having a rally! If you want to keep your electricity rates from being jacked up and a quasi-government monopoly (PG&E) from being turned into a full government monopoly, please try to make it out.
WHAT: Mobilization to stop the takeover
WHERE: The Plumbers' Hall, 1621 Market Street (between Franklin & Gough), SF, 94103
WHEN: Saturday, August 23, 10 a.m.
RSVP: <JoinUs@...> / (415) 685-9138
I'm going to try to attend and speak on behalf of the Libertarian Party; if you call or email the organizers, please tell them you'd like to hear some libertarian speakers. If I get a chance, I will try to get a good word in for socially tolerant causes like prostitution decriminalization and cannabis freedom.

Excellent!

Please don’t. Show our allies on this issue the same courtesy that I
wish our other allies would extend us; I hate when an anti-war rally
turns into an anti-business rally, or a pro-same-sex-marriage rally
turns into a subsidized housing rally. Keep your comments focused on
the topic at hand and you’ll be more likely welcome for repeat
engagements.
IMO,
Chris
Chris,
I understand your position, however...
(1) A brief mention or two does not an entire rally make
(2) Pro-freedom and anti-freedom causes are not moral equivalents
(3) If we are to eventually build anything like a "leave us alone coalition" I think we have to do more cross-pollinating
I will of course try to be civil and polite about it.

Hi Starchild,
Thank you for your efforts on the "Power Grab" rally. We have been
critical, with good reason, of folks like ANSWER for slipping in
anti-capitalism talk at anti-war gatherings; so, we should stick to
the topics of the gatherings we attend.
