Let's vocally and actively oppose Pete Knight's repeal of AB205,
which grants the same rights to same-sex couples as straight married
couples have (at least at the state level). Like we were the first
party to endorse the recall of Davis, let's beat the Dems and Greens
by being the first party to oppose Knight's initiative. More details

Domestic Partner Rights and Responsibility Act, signed into law by
Governor Davis in September 2003. Like a bad sequel, Senator Pete
Knight is again taking the lead to prevent same-sex couples from
securing the basic rights and responsibilities of domestic
partnership.There is no question that we will be out-financed by the opposition,
however, no matter how well-funded the opposition is, they are wrong
and most Californians know it. We must start knocking on our
neighbors doors and talking to our co-workers to ensure that the
referendum on AB 205 passes. That’s right, we need the YES vote
here. When both houses of the Legislature voted YES to AB 205, the
people of California were behind them and will back them up at the
polls in March 2004. All hands are needed in this effort – look for
