NY Bar Member Needs Sponsorship to US Supreme Court
As many of you know, I have filed a case in federal court to declare the
entire New York City and State Board of Elections to be unconstitutional.
I have just received an adverse decision from the United States Court of
Appeals for the Second Circuit. Sloan vs. New York Board of Elections
14-3342
Now I wish to file a petition for a writ of certiorari in the United States
Supreme Court
However, there is a new United States Supreme Court rule that states that
in order to file in the Supreme Court one must be a member of the Bar of
the Supreme Court,
Now, in order to become a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court one must
file an application and that application must be signed by two sponsors.
Both Sponsors must already be members of the bar of the United States
Supreme Court.
The attorney who is representing me in this case has filed an application
to become a member of the bar of that court, but his application was not
accepted because it was not signed by the two required sponsors.
We have called the clerk's office of the US Supreme Court about this and
were told that this rule cannot be waived. Even though he has been a
licensed lawyer for more than 40 years and is admitted to practice in the
highest court of New York State and in the federal appellate court, he
still needs a signed sponsorship application that must be signed by two
sponsors who have already been admitted to practice in the United States
Supreme Court.
This seems unfair and indeed unconstitutional because it makes the US
Supreme Court a closed club were nobody can get in under any circumstances
without being sponsored by two members of that club.
Only the Mafia has a requirement that you must be sponsored by an existing
member in order to get in, with no exceptions allowed.
Since the Libertarian Party has an obvious interest in this case, I am
asking if two Libertarian Lawyers can be found who are willing to sign a
sponsorship application so that my lawyer can file a petition for a writ of
certiorari in this case.

a writ of certiorari will expire soon.
